Summer Reading Challenge Crafts | Emersons Green Library

Celebrate the Summer Reading Challenge with a fun, hands-on activity in a welcoming and supportive environment. Children will have the opportunity to make a selection of Summer Reading Challenge-inspired crafts to take home, while enjoying a creative experience at their own pace. Our friendly library team will be on hand throughout the session to offer support and help everyone feel comfortable, included, and able to join in. All abilities are welcome. As places are limited, booking is essential. Families are welcome to bring ear defenders or any other items that may help make the experience more comfortable.

What to expect:

• A relaxed, inclusive environment
• A choice of Summer Reading Challenge-themed crafts
• All materials provided
• Friendly library staff on hand to support participants

Children can also take part in the Summer Reading Challenge and choose books to enjoy over the summer.

Children can read in whatever way works best for them. This could include storybooks, fact books, books about their favourite hobbies and interests, comics and graphic novels, listening to audiobooks, sharing a book with a parent or carer, or enjoying being read a story. Every type of reading counts!

• Suitable for a mixed age range from 4 upwards
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
• Please book a ticket for each child attending
• Places are limited
