About this Event
Let us help you understand Inheritance Tax (IHT)
Amber River HDA is holding a seminar, specifically for those who want to know whether IHT will affect their estate and some of the steps that can be taken to mitigate any liability they may have!
Due to the IHT thresholds, this seminar will be most relevant and beneficial to individuals with total assets of over £500,000 or couples with combined assets of £1m+.
Expert speakers
At our IHT event, Martin Johnston, Director and Financial Planner at Amber River HDA, will be explaining the rules around IHT and how good financial planning can help reduce a potential 40% tax charge on the assets you leave to your loved ones.
Our guest on the day will be Adam Hampson, Head of Private Clients at Tayntons solicitors of Gloucester, who will be explaining how Wills and Trusts can also be used to ensure benefits are passed on in line with your wishes.
Changes to IHT rules in April 2027
We will also be highlighting the forthcoming changes to defined contribution pensions and how these will be included in your estate from April 2027, along with the potential double taxation that some will be facing!
The presentation will be approximately an hour, and we’ll be available afterwards should you want an informal chat with one of the team.
This seminar is for information only and does not constitute individual financial advice.
