Our Summer 2026 session is focused on roving, longform Burlesque - space for improvisation and expression, building flexibility into your act, using the entire room as your stage!
First: two different open-level choreographed group classes (one Cabaret themed and one classic vintage Burlesque themed) and, second: a special-interest Solo Sensation offering! ! All classes culminate in an optional performance in the session showcase (Summer Sizzler '26 scheduled for Friday August 7).

Burlesque Burn sessions are 6 weeks unless otherwise noted. In-person classes include a 7th weekend rehearsal class (see calendar below) prior to our final week.
Burlesque Burn prides itself on small in-person class sizes, therefore class registration is currently capped at 10 students. Solo Sensation is capped at 7 students. Your spot in class is guaranteed and registration is confirmed once payment is received in full.
To perform in the end of session showcase (which is, of course, always optional), you must attend a minimum of 4 of the 7 classes, including the last class of the session as it is our dress rehearsal. You are strongly encouraged to attend the bonus rehearsal class prior to our final week (and performance).
Solo Sensation: our final class is dedicated to workshopping your new act with your peers and receiving loving and constructive feedback. In the event of a full class (up to 7 students) both classes 5 & 6 will be workshopping classes and all students must attend BOTH.
Please note in-person classes are held in accordance with all Alberta public health guidelines and bylaws, and will continue to respond to the ever-changing landscape of public health with the best interests of everyone's safety in mind. Please DO NOT attend class if you are feeling unwell or exhibiting signs of illness.
Fees:
Please note Solo Sensation class fees reflect an extended class time (90 minutes per week), as well as half an hour of additional dedicated studio time outside of class to work on your own and/or one-on-one with Daisy (these blocks of time will be booked after our first class after consulting with everyone. They will be spread over a maximum of two dates). Solo Sensation Early bird registration is $242 until June 22 2026. Solo Sensation registration is $260 after June 22.
Early Bird registration for group open level classes: Roving Seduction Longform Burlesque and Immersive Cabaret Longform Burlesque are each $215. Registration is $230 after June 22 2026. Students registered in the May / June 2026 session receive a $10 discount (applied to every class when registering for more than one class in the session). Please note your spot in class is not guaranteed until payment is received in full.
Payment can be made via e-transfer or Paypal (please add 2.9% +$0.30 for transaction fees), mailed cheque (please inquire for the mailing address) or in person via cash. If you are experiencing a barrier to paying the registration fee in full before the session start, please reach out.
There is no fee to perform in the end of session showcase, however you are required to purchase your custom-made pasties (which are then, of course, yours to keep!) If you require any additional costume pieces or elements not provided by Burlesque Burn you will be informed of them in the first class.
Costume / prop deposit: if you would like to take props and/or costume pieces home to practice with between classes there may be a nominal deposit required, which will be returned once loaned props/pieces are returned in like condition.
Burlesque Burn is a fitness and dance class combined - a 20 minute workout (which you can do all week at home), followed by 40 minutes of dance. You will learn a choreography to perform at the end of session show as well as important life skills to carry with you forever (uh, hello, The Hustle is absolutely a life skill)!

Burly Essentials Drop In
It's just what it sounds like - a no-commitment crash course on some of the many aspects of Burlesque and dance. Every class focuses on something different and every week will be a new set of combos and choreography to learn. We'll do a full body stretch and warm up before honing in on your new skills.
Wear clothes you can move in (think yoga, dance or gym clothes) and indoor dance shoes or heels if you have them (2" - 3" or under is best)!
The 75 minute Burlesque Drop in class is $25, or 4 / $85. Or 6-class pass for $125 (you can share punch cards!)

Roving Seduction Longform Burlesque (Open Level):
Step off the stage and into the spotlight—literally. In this open level immersive, longform burlesque class, the entire choreography is designed to roam through the venue, weaving between tables, brushing past chairs, and dancing right into the hearts of the audience. Students learn a full-length burlesque routine that travels through the space, blurring the line between performer and spectator. Each student will have their own featured moment to shine. Perfect for performers who want to deepen their connection with the audience, explore non-traditional stage work, and discover the power of presence in every corner of the room. Whether you're a seasoned tease or ready for your first taste of immersive performance, this class invites you to flirt with the unexpected and leave your mark on every inch of the room.
Immersive Cabaret Longform Burlesque (Open Level):
Like Roving Seduction - but make it rollicking, bawdy and jazzy. A more modern twist to the Classic Vintage Burly esthetic, this class screams Broadway, baby. Well, maybe Off-off-off broadway and down a dark alley to an unmarked door with a secret knock to gain access. Students learn a full-length burlesque routine (different from Roving Seduction) that also travels through the space and offers an opportunity to play and interact with the audience, taking centre stage in turns and turning the entire room into the stage.
Solo Sensation with Daisy DeVille: This wildly popular class is offered to students looking to perform their first (or fifth, or tenth...) solo, and would like guidance and feedback through the creative process. There is no group choreography taught in this class, instead you will spend the 6 weeks building your own solo to optionally perform at the Student showcase. You will have the opportunity to present your piece to your peers and receive critical feedback to help you improve your performance. Also included in the course: a selection of supplies to aid in embellishing your costume, technique and support in costuming, expression and choreography, access to a selection of costume pieces and props, as well as optional additional studio time and optional one-on-one critique and assistance with Daisy DeVille. This class does not include the physical weekly workout, however students do receive focused exercise instruction in their class overview emails. Solo Sensation classes are 90 minutes, you will need to invest a significant amount of time and attention to creating your act outside of the studio if you wish to perform it at Summer Sizzler '26.
