Subdivision and Natural Hazards – Luke Crichton (Eliot Sinclair)
📅 Tuesday 28 July 2026
🕢 7:30 pm (Optional dinner from 6:00 pm)
📍 The Honest Lawyer, 1 Point Road, Monaco, Nelson
Whether you're considering your first subdivision, planning future development, or simply want to understand how the latest planning rules may affect your investment properties, this is a meeting you won't want to miss.
We're pleased to welcome Luke Crichton, Acting Branch Manager and Engineering Geologist at Eliot Sinclair.
With almost 25 years of geotechnical engineering experience and over eight years as the geotechnical peer reviewer for Nelson City Council resource consent applications, Luke brings extensive local knowledge of Nelson's land conditions and natural hazard risks. He also worked alongside Civil Defence following the 2022 Nelson storm event, assessing affected properties throughout the region.
Luke will explain the National Policy Statement for Natural Hazards 2025 and what the new requirements mean for:
• Property investors
• Landowners
• Subdivision projects
• Resource consents
• Future development opportunities in the Nelson region
This practical presentation will help you better understand how natural hazards are becoming an increasingly important consideration for property investment and land development.
❓Have a tenancy question? Email it to [email protected] before the meeting and we'll include it in our Q&A session.
🎁 Spot prizes on the night.
Everyone interested in property investment is welcome.
