Planning continues for the annual, "Over 50 Years" all-school reunion that is set for Saturday, September 26
This means the Class of 1976 is eligible this year, although no one checks ID cards or diplomas at the door, so all graduates are welcome, including people who attended St. Martin’s Academy.
This year's reunion will again be held at the United Methodist Church, 1755 Ballpark Road. Pay $25 per person at the door, plenty of parking, please use the west entrance. The doors will open at 11 a.m. for early socializing. Following the meal there will be brief introductions and then more opportunities to visit with classmates and friends.
This year, the Methodist Ladies will prepare the meal. To assist with food preparation, please indicate your plans to attend via the Facebook “events” feature or contact David Super at [email protected].
If you want to keep the party going after the lunch and informal talk, our beloved town has no shortage of downtown and suburban watering holes, including the venerable Vets Club. This gathering, started what seems like a zillion years ago by DeWayne Hayes and then sustained by Dana Caldwell and many others, is traditionally held on the LAST Saturday of September, so this time the 26th.
Please share this message with fellow classmates. Don't forget to RSVP so the Methodist Ladies will know how much food to prepare. There will be plenty of room in the church.
