About this Event
Do you have an idea so absurd, so utterly useless, that it needs to exist? Then welcome to Stupid Hackathon 2025, where we celebrate tech that shouldn’t be made but must be made.
🚀 WHAT IS STUPID HACKATHON?A one-day event where brilliant minds come together to create the dumbest, most ridiculous, and totally unnecessary tech projects imaginable. Whether it’s a browser that live-tweets your darkest searches, a robotic arm that high-fives you when you cry, or an AI that critiques your life choices in real time, no idea is too stupid for this hackathon.
📅 WHEN & WHERE?📍 NYU ITP, 4th Floor, 370 Jay St, Brooklyn, NY📆 February 22, 2025 | 10 AM - 10 PM
👩💻 WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?If you have a laptop, a brain full of questionable ideas, and the willingness to bring your most cursed project to life, you belong here. No coding experience? No problem. This event is all about chaotic creativity—and to help fuel your terrible ideas, we’re hosting workshops throughout the day on web design, physical computing, game design, fabrication, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned hacker or just here for the chaos, you’ll have plenty of chances to learn and apply your skills in the most unhinged ways possible.
🍕 WHAT TO EXPECT?
- A day of hacking, joking, and making things that should not exist
- Absolutely zero VC pitches or startup ideas (seriously, don’t try)
- Demos of the dumbest tech imaginable
- Prizes? Maybe. Regrets? Definitely.
🛑 WHY?Because tech doesn’t always have to solve a problem. Sometimes, it’s just fun to make pointless things with stupid consequences.
