Guest Speaker: Clare Hart, Glossa Speech Therapy
We are delighted to welcome Clare Hart, Business Development Manager at Glossa Speech Therapy, as our guest speaker at our next Stronger Together™ Harrogate meeting on Thursday 24 September 2026.
Glossa Speech Therapy provides specialist support for teens and adults experiencing communication and swallowing difficulties, working with individuals, families, care providers, case managers and wider multidisciplinary teams.
Clare will introduce us to the work of Glossa and help us better understand the role that Speech and Language Therapy can play in supporting people within health, social care and the wider community.
The session will explore:
- When someone may benefit from Speech and Language Therapy
- Communication difficulties and how they can affect everyday life and care
- Swallowing difficulties and why recognising concerns is important
- How care and support providers can work alongside Speech and Language Therapists
- When and how to consider making a referral
- The value of collaboration between different professionals supporting the same person
This is also an opportunity to ask questions, build your knowledge and understand another part of the wider health and social care pathway.
