About this Event
Perimenopause and menopause can reshape the brain and body in ways many women were never taught to expect: changes in motivation, mood, sleep, appetite, metabolism, cognition, anxiety, and identity. You are not imagining it — and you are not alone.
Join us for a science-based, body-inclusive workshop led by three clinicians — a clinical social worker and personal trainer, a registered dietitian and personal trainer, and a psychiatrist - to explore how movement, nutrition, mindfulness, and Medic*tion can support function, well-being, and agency during the menopausal transition.
We’ll cover:
• Why your brain feels different (motivation, cognition, stress)
• How movement supports mood, energy, and executive function
• How to nourish a changing body without dieting or restriction
• Why appetite, cravings, and metabolism shift in midlife
• Medic*tion options for mood, sleep & anxiety (without stigma)
• How to reduce shame and restore agency during transition
Jen Liam, LCSW, CPT — Movement + Motivation + Mindfulness
Sydney Engberg, RD, CPT — Nutrition + Appetite + Metabolism
Alejandra Grullón, MD — Medic*tion + Mood + Sleep
Doors open at 3 for light snacks and convsersation. Panel begins at 3:30.
