Strides for Survival: Panther Power & Preparedness

Dress in Black Panther Party attire and join us at McGovern Park on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM. We'll have a group walk/run through McGovern Park, then come together to honor the legacy of the Black Panther Party, and build emergency preparedness skills through an interactive workshop.

All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Info: The first 30 minutes we'll allow people to get settled into the space and check-in. This will also be a time for introductions so we can get to know each other, learn more about Run Black & Green.

Info: Attendees will have the option to walk or run for up to 2 miles. The hosts will inform and guide attendees through the loop route through McGovern Park and back based on which option they choose.

Info: We'll gather for a cool down.

Info: We'll have an interactive learning session around the legacy of the Black Panther Party, how their survival programs supported Black communities, and how we can carry their legacy forward.
