Strides for Survival: Panther Power & Preparedness
Dress in Black Panther Party attire and join us at McGovern Park on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM. We'll have a group walk/run through McGovern Park, then come together to honor the legacy of the Black Panther Party, and build emergency preparedness skills through an interactive workshop.
All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Introductions, Community Wellness Checks, and Free Resources
Info: The first 30 minutes we'll allow people to get settled into the space and check-in, explore the health and wellness resources. This will also be a time for introductions so we can get to know each other, learn more about Run Black & Green.

Info: Enjoy free breakfast and a community meal together

Community Walk/Stroll
Info: The hosts will inform and guide attendees through the route at McGovern Park. All levels of walkers and strollers are welcome.

Self Defense / Emergency Preparedness Workshops
Info: Facilitators will guide attendees through workshops focused on self defense training and emergency preparedness.
