Stride with Pride Beginner Hike: Tryon Creek
About this Event
Join us for a relaxing Stride w/Pride Beginner Hike on the Iron Mountain Trail in beautiful Tryon Creek State Natural Area! This welcoming hike is approximately 2.1 miles roundtrip with 301 feet of elevation gain, making it the perfect opportunity to connect with community, enjoy the forest, and spend a morning on the trails. Towering Douglas firs, peaceful creeks, and shaded forest paths make this one of Portland's most beloved urban hikes.
We'll meet at the Iron Mountain Trailhead at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, and plan to hit the trail by 10:15 AM. The hike is expected to take 1–1.5 hours at a comfortable, social pace. Be sure to bring water, comfortable walking or hiking shoes, and dress for the weather. We can't wait to hike with you!
