A collaboration between yogi Emma of Thorlby Yoga and artist Caroline Dowsett.
Join us for mindful events celebrating movement, creativity, mindfulness, seasons and cycles.

Sketch - Stretch - Sauna
Join Emma and Caroline on Saturday 29th November for a morning of yoga, mindful art and sauna + cold dips.
Hosted at Kontrast MCR, we will start the morning with a herbal tea on arrival and move through a relaxing 45 minute yoga practice, exploring the themes of fire & water, to reflect the energies of the sauna and ice baths. Emma will guide you through an all levels practice, which will help you tap into the fire within and channel the water element through fluid movement.
She will also guide you through some breathing techniques that will help you with the cold water immersion.
After the practice, we will have a 45 minute session in Kontrasts saunas and ice baths. Alternating between at your own leisure, exploring the benefits of the hot and cold.
Caroline will guide us through a mindful art session, centred around the themes of the practice, tapping into our inner world and our self expression through creativity. Join us in reclaiming the joy of creating art for fun, without worrying about the outcome!
No prior experience in yoga or art or cold water required, mats provided!

An idea of what to expect during our morning together:
- a warming hot drink
- a 45 minute yoga, meditation and breath practice with Emma
- 45 minutes of sauna and cold water time
- Mindful art session with Caroline, using prompts provided through an ispiration alter and words.
All materials provided and your can take your work of arts home!
There is an opportunity to buy snacks and refreshments in the cafe in addition to the hot drink provided.
Things to bring:
- Comfy clothes
- Water bottle
-Swimsuit
-Towel
-change of clothes
- A journal & pen (pencils will be available if you forget one!)
Optional but recommended:
-flip flops/sliders
