A practical 1-day course for middle leaders and managers, focused on leadership wellbeing, psychological safety, and effective communication in real workplace environments.

Middle leaders and managers play a central role within teams.

They support staff, manage team dynamics, and balance expectations from senior leadership, often while managing their own workload and wellbeing.

This 1-day course is designed to support middle leaders and managers in navigating these responsibilities with greater awareness, confidence, and structure.

The course focuses on how leadership behaviour, communication, and boundaries influence team wellbeing and psychological safety.

Participants explore real workplace scenarios through discussion, reflection, and practical frameworks that can be applied immediately within their teams.

The approach is interactive and grounded in day-to-day leadership practice.

Participants will develop practical skills in:

• Recognising patterns of stress and pressure in leadership roles
• Understanding how leadership behaviour shapes team culture
• Applying communication approaches in real workplace situations
• Supporting others while maintaining clear professional boundaries
• Strengthening awareness of wellbeing within teams

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Strengthen leadership awareness of wellbeing and stress patterns
• Build psychologically safe team environments
• Recognise early signs of stress or concern among colleagues
• Communicate more effectively in challenging situations
• Apply practical leadership strategies within their work context

This course is delivered as a 1-day interactive workshop (8 hours), including:

• Leadership wellbeing and mental health awareness
• Psychological safety in leadership and team dynamics
• Practical communication in workplace environments
• Self-care and boundaries for sustainable leadership
• Reflection and action planning

This course is suited to:

• Middle leaders, managers, and team leaders
• Individuals who support others as part of their role
• Those with leadership or people management responsibilities
