About this Event

Calgary’s original light rail system opened just in time to shuttle visitors to the stampede grounds in 1909. Over the next few years, it would grow from a one-mile stub line to a network stretching from Ogden to Bowness - often running at high frequencies through sparsely populated areas. Join Jay Maudsley to see how the system evolved, what led to its demise and how it continues to influence our city today!
