Strawberry Shortcake Social

The Marcia Andrew memorial Strawberry Shortcake Social will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 1 to 5PM on the lawn of the Sherry Butt House, located at 795 N. Main Street, Viroqua. The home was built in 1870 for local attorney and Civil War colonel Cyrus M. Butt, his wife Margaret, and their family. Orbec and Hilda Sherry later owned the home, which features furnishings from both families. Join us for an old-fashioned social featuring homemade shortcake, strawberries, and frozen vanilla custard. Lemonade and coffee will also be served. Your donation of $6.00 also includes a tour of the House, which will feature a special exhibit of patriotic quilts on loan from the Vernon County Piecemakers Quilt Guild. Musical entertainment on the lawn will be provided by the Viroqua Community Band at 1PM, and Kickapoo Joy Juice at 2PM. This annual fund-raiser aids in the upkeep of this historic home. In case of rain, food will be served as carry-outs only.
