Viroqua Community Theatre is thrilled to welcome the Missoula Children's Theatre back to Viroqua for a week of creativity, collaboration, and theatrical magic!
Students entering grades 1–8 are invited to participate in this exciting residency program, where they'll audition, rehearse, and perform a full musical production in just one week under the guidance of professional touring artists.
This year's production is The Little Mermaid - Missoula Children's Theatre's imaginative adaptation of the classic tale.
Deep in the salty waters of the Sassafras Sea lives a young mermaid named Celia, whose love for music sets her apart. Gifted with the most beautiful scales in all the Deep, Celia dreams of the world above the waves. On their sixteenth birthdays, Celia and her sisters are granted a single visit to the mysterious World Above, where they encounter strange and wondrous sights, including fierce dragons, marching armies, and even a charming prince.
Filled with lively music, humor, and unexpected twists, this magical adventure is perfect for audiences of all ages!
