You are invited to participate in a five-part training series, Strategic Communications for Nonprofits, led by independent communications consultant, Cindy Hoffman.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
DATES: Thursdays September 3, September 17, October 1, October 15, October 29
TIME: from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
LOCATION: All five in-person sessions will be held at the CFES office

COST: $300 for TWO participants from your organization (e.g., two staff members, one staff member and one board member, or one staff member and one volunteer.) We strongly recommend that each organization registers two participants to maximize shared learning and planning specific to your organization.
About Cindy Hoffman:
Cindy Hoffman is an independent communications consultant with extensive experience in strategic communications planning, social media, writing and pitching local news stories.
Having worked for both the federal government and nonprofit organizations, Cindy has created multi-level communications campaigns that combine earned media, radio, video, online and social media ads with powerful messages to move the needle. Her work has influenced members of Congress and other decision-maker votes. She has produced award winning documentaries, educational videos and public service announcements. She has conducted media training, managed story banking efforts and crisis communications strategies for the conservation community and YWCA.
After moving to the Eastern Shore 7 years ago, in addition to private consulting, Cindy has enjoyed reporting for Ocean City Today, Bayside Gazette, Ocean Pines Progress and the Ocean Pines Residents Oversight Community.

Info: Each participating organization will complete a brief questionnaire to identify their goals for attending and allow for a SWOT analysis in advance of the training.

Info: Learn how to tell your story by clarifying your mission, messaging, brand identity and first-person testimonials.

Info: Master the tools and tactics to reach your audience.

Info: Measure ROI, evaluate event success, and know when to pivot for better results.

Info: Prepare for putting your plan into action by creating a communications calendar and utilizing worksheets throughout the year.
Post Training Support
Info: After the training, each organization will have a private, one-hour follow-up consultation to review your plan, troubleshoot challenges, and obtain expert feedback for success throughout the year. Your plan will not sit on a shelf!
