SP∆CE N TIME Presents:
STRANGER STRINGS SERENADE
We would like to invite everyone to come and enjoy an especially chill vibe in our lounge. Sunday 6th October during the 420 hour.
Please book in early as we are limited to 30 (comfortable) seats inside. The ship can be rearranged for 40 if required.
INFO:
Ujan first picked up the lap steel guitar when he was 12. He has been playing for 14 years now, and his current guitar is specially adapted through the addition of several drones and resonators conducive to Indian classical music, bringing the total number of strings to 22.
He is a PhD student in Pure Mathematics at the University of Glasgow, music is one of his hobbies. He used to play quite regularly but exclusively at the Tchai-Ovna on Friday evenings a few summers ago: mostly Bengali folk and semi-classical songs from the last century. But then he took a hiatus from public performances, as his evenings were taken up by a newfound love for fencing.
Now he is back for more concerts in the new SP∆CE N TIME café! Located at the site of the old TCHAI-OVNA which had been a haven for many of us in Glasgow, through times of laughter and of tears, to make your presence his souvenirs once more.
"Sérénade" in a café in the afternoon... is in itself a spacio-temporal incongruity, hence the Space N Time café is the ideal venue for such sacrilege!
