Welcome back to Storytime! We’ve taken our wonderful Storytime program and given it a new spin on a new day for our littlest learners. Announcing Storytime Saturday! Every third Saturday of the month, we will have a new theme for our stories that will help our fledgling scholars learn citizenship skills and about being part of a group. This program will help our preschoolers (and their older siblings) gain essential skills to help them prepare for school, learn gross and fine motor refinement, self-expression and more! Each month will include a story, craft, game or activity, and an abbreviated tour of the grounds or mansion that focuses on the theme.
Our first program for this series is coming up on March 21, 2026 at 10:30 am. The opening theme will be Using Your Voice. In March, we will be reading the book Say Something!, written and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds.
After the story, we will practice our fine motor skills to create a paper megaphone, which we will use in a game to magnify our voices and practice using different tones of voice. Then, we will have an optional abbreviated tour of the mansion, with a focus on different kinds of speech and where speaking happens.
This program will run rain or shine, so please dress for the weather!
