DESCRIPTION
Step into a magical world of storytelling, movement and nature connection! Join Fiona in this unique workshop, to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Scottish folklore, unlock the power of your imagination and re-discover the joy of movement, play and crafting.
You’ll be treated to a traditional Scottish story, brought to life by Fiona’s traditional storytelling & guided movement with trad Scottish music, to explore how these stories make us feel in our bodies. We’ll then integrate with a wonderful art circle inspired by nature & our stories, to handcraft something you can take home after.
This is a screen-free oasis where families can connect meaningfully with each other, create and cherish memories for a lifetime; and make new friends that last beyond the workshop. Fiona’s intention is to create an event that both children and their parents love, to reconnect to their imaginations, reawaken a sense of wonder and play, and to remember the stories of our land and rich cultural heritage.
ABOUT FIONA
Fiona is a multi-talented storyteller, healer & post-natal doula. She is passionate about bringing people together through the joy of story, embodiment and play; and an advocate for both children’s well-being, and empowering parents on their journey through parenthood.
In her workshops, she weaves together her love for traditional Scottish storytelling, embodiment practices, and connection to the land and plants through art. She prioritises the importance of listening to boundaries and respecting each person’s needs; and encourages children to tune into their body’s signals, giving a sense of empowerment and self-awareness from a young age.
Fiona embodies her passions for Scottish storytelling, music, dance and her bology, which comes through naturally in her work as she connects people back to their roots, the land, and its rich culture. All whilst empowering others and creating a supportive environment for children and families to thrive.
