Story Time - Guinea Pigs Don't Wear Pants
About this Event
We are excited to welcome author Chris Paul (Rainbows) Farias to the shop to read their book Guinea Pigs Don't Wear Pants! They'll be here to answer your questions, read your books, and celebrate exactly who YOU are!
About the Book: Guinea Pigs Don’t Wear Pants is a whimsically joyful and empowering children’s book that celebrates individuality across the rainbow-hued spectrum. With playful rhymes and exuberant illustrations, author-illustrator Chris Paul (Rainbows) Farias celebrates the freedom to express yourself and the beauty of being exactly who you are.
Readers are invited to imagine a world where animals are hilariously limited in what they can do while humans are gloriously free to saunter, flaunt, and wear just what you want. From lipsticked llamas to tumbling giraffes, each page bursts with colorful chaos and loving affirmation.
At its heart, this is the book Chris wished they’d had as a kid growing up in a small town―one that gently opens the door to conversations about self-expression, gender, and being true to yourself.
This is a free event open to all.
