Join us at the Wallace Family Learning and Innovation Center for a FREE children's workshop about the importance of storytelling!
Children of all ages are invited to attend with an older parent, guardian, grandparent or other relative to learn how stories are told from one generation to another. Be prepared to draw and share a story of your own creation in this hands-on workshop directed by Becky Cerling Powers, author of the book “Forbidden Orphanage Outside the Forbidden City” about Sidney native Laura Richards.
Parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles: your stories are magic! Give the kids in your life a reason to write.
What you'll get:
• Unlock family stories: Simple prompts to surface the moments that matter.
• Build belonging: Share memories that give kids a stronger sense of identity.
• Create a story-gift: Finish a short, shareable piece kids can give to relatives

This FREE workshop will be held in the back room of the Wallace Family Learning and Innovation Center located at 115 E. North St. in Downtown Sidney. It is best suited for children age 6-11. All children must be accompanied by an adult. We hope to see you there!
