Catarina Hällzon

Catarina Hällzon lives and works in the Swedish countryside, where she fishes and hunts, using leftover materials such as fish skin and elk teeth in her work. She also draws inspiration from traditional craft techniques like birch bark weaving, incorporating them into her jewelry art in a contemporary way. Catarina is interested in the tradition of craftsmanship and its survival even when its original function is no longer necessary. She was educated at Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, and her works are included in the collections of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm as well as the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.

Märta Mattson

Märta Mattson is a renowned jewelry artist who has exhibited worldwide and is represented in numerous museums and private collections across the globe. She studied at HDK-Valand at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and the Royal College of Art in London. Her jewelry explores the tension between attraction and repulsion, and her colorful pieces featuring dried cicada wings are perhaps the most strongly associated with her artistic identity. In her most recent creations, she has also begun incorporating 3D printing, lampworked glass, gemstones, and pearls inspired by the Art Nouveau period.

Filip Palmén

The work of Filip Palmén is instantly recognizable for its dark, bold, and sculptural silver forms. Filip seeks to engage the empathy of the viewer, with his pieces often portraying allegories and concepts of prejudice and masculinity. He studied at Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, and the Royal College of Art in London. He began his studies in textiles but transitioned to metal when he discovered a more direct form of expression through jewelry. He is a member and vice-chairman of the association Contemporary Swedish Silver. His works are held in private collections worldwide as well as in the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.

Helena Sandström

Helena Sandström is a jewelry artist, silversmith, and independent curator based in Stockholm. Her practice is material-based, often involving experimentation with surface treatments such as zinc etching and titanium coloring. However, she is perhaps best known for her delicate eggshell pieces. Helena studied at Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, and her works are represented in several private and museum collections around the world, including the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, the Auckland Museum in New Zealand, and the Deedie Rose Collection at the Dallas Museum of Art. She is also a member of the association Contemporary Swedish Silver.

Sanna Svedestedt Carboo

Sanna Svedestedt is an art jeweler and leather craft artist based in northern Sweden. Her work is inspired by traditional crafts, with a focus on naturally tanned leather. Her ongoing project ICONS explores the use of emojis as a contemporary language. By translating them into leather, Sanna contrasts the material’s visceral associations with life, death, and ephemerality against the cartoon-like forms, creating a dialogue between the absurd and the profound in contemporary communication. Sanna studied at HDK-Valand at the University of Gothenburg, and her pieces are part of the museum collections of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg. She is currently opening a gallery for jewelry art in Östersund, in northern Sweden.
