What was really happening behind the elegant sound of Classical-era music?
Stories Behind Music is a Music Social Club for curious listeners — a space where we slow down, listen deeply, and place music back into its human, historical, and emotional context.
After a joyful and inspiring pilot series last year, we’re continuing with four new sessions in 2026 — two listening lectures and two live chamber music concerts.
Our first gathering of the new year is dedicated to the Classical era.
(Yes — think Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven…
And as always, we’ll gently uncover a few more names along the way.)
🎼 What to expect at this session:
* A carefully curated listening experience with outstanding recordings
* Stories from the lives of Classical-era composers — funny, surprising, and still very relatable today
* A guided journey through the era: how to listen, what to notice, and why this music still speaks to us
* Personal recommendations on what else to listen to, read, or watch if you’d like to explore further
* A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere — no prior musical knowledge required
* This is not a lecture in the academic sense, and not a concert, but something in between.
* A social, thoughtful way to connect with classical music and with each other.
