Location: The Village Players of Hatboro, 401 Jefferson Ave, Hatboro, PA 19040
Dates:
Sunday, June 21 at 3:00PM
Monday, June 22 at 7:00PM
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. script. Please arrive up to 30 minutes prior to familiarize yourself with the sides and introduce yourself.
Please bring ALL conflicts between the time of auditions and the opening of the show.

SYNOPSIS
Dramatic Comedy. Sara and Callie’s first kiss should have been the start to a new romance. Instead, their lives changed in ways neither could have predicted. Jumping backward and forward in time, the two are forced to look at the little moments that built
their relationship and decide if they were meant to be or if they should cut their losses. Don’t miss this GLAAD Media Award-winning play by Diana Son!
Content Note: Stop Kiss explores themes of anti-LGBTQ+ violence. The play includes graphic description of a hate crime, which is not depicted on stage; adult language and situations; homophobia and homophobic slurs; sexism; and onstage costume changes (character wears bra and underwear).
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
All roles are open to actors of all ethnicities, races, and backgrounds. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive cast.
The roles of Callie and Sara require physical intimacy, including an onstage kiss between two female-identifying characters.
Callie (Female, 20s to 30s) | A New York traffic reporter who has lived in the city for years. Messy, guarded, and unsure what’s missing in her life. Note:
Sara (Female, 20s to 30s) | A schoolteacher from St. Louis who is new to NYC. Open, warm, curious, and very self-assured.
George (Male, 20s to 30s) | Callie’s friend-with-benefits and a bartender. Jealous of Sara and threatened by Callie’s shifting priorities.
Peter (Male, 20s to 30s) | Sara’s ex-boyfriend from St. Louis. Well-meaning but intrusive; complicates Callie’s role in Sara’s life.
Mrs. Winsley/Nurse (Female, 40s to 50s) | Will be doubled with Nurse. Witness to the attack. Nurse: Caretaker to Sara in
the hospital.
Detective Cole (Male, 30s to 40s) | Police detective investigating the assault.
