Joseph La Marca is a versatile double bassist and educator currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree at the University of North Texas.
An active performer in both classical and jazz traditions, Joseph is a section member of the West Texas Symphony and the Sherman Symphony. His broader orchestral experience includes appearances with the Wichita Falls Symphony, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, Texarkana Symphony, San Angelo Symphony, North Texas Symphony Orchestra, and Serenata Strings. His diverse performance credits also include work with the Luca Savarino Jazz Quartet and the Duck Duck Goose trio, and he has opened for artists such as Charles McPherson, Russell Hall, and Etienne Charles. Additionally, he has performed as a member of the La Marca Saxophone Quartet, including an appearance at the Navy Band Saxophone Symposium.
As an educator, Joseph is committed to fostering technical proficiency and artistic expression. He has served on the faculty for the International Performing Arts Summit and the Csehy Summer School of Music since 2025, and maintains an active private teaching studio. He holds a Master’s degree in Double Bass Performance from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Messiah University, where he studied under Lee Philip and Duane B. Botterbusch. He currently studies with Jeff Bradetich.
Brian Reichenbach has led a diverse career as a trumpet playing musician, teacher, and conductor. He currently teaches secondary music at Kigali International Community School (KICS) in Rwanda where he directs one of the only school band programs in the country. In addition, he is the conductor of Injyana Orchestra, Rwanda's only orchestra. Together with his wife, Christy, and their family, they are exploring various ways to increase access to music education in east Africa through their work at KICS, their local church, and various organizations in the country.
Before moving to east Africa in 2024, Brian established himself as a versatile musician for over twenty years in Chicago and then in the Chattanooga area. Brian has performed as a member of the International Chamber Artists, Lincoln Park Brass, Elmhurst Symphony, Eurobrass and performed with ensembles including Chicago Sinfonietta, Chattanooga Symphony, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra, Millar Brass, and Chorale de Kigali. Brian continues to perform in Kigali and collaborates with concert organist Rhonda Sider Edgington as Great Lakes Duo and others. Together with his students at KICS, Brian will perform this summer at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
Before serving in Rwanda, Brian held various roles as a professor and conductor at Lee University, Trinity International University, Olivet Nazarene University, and College of DuPage. Brian received a DMA in Trumpet Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he studied with Ronald Romm and Charles Daval. Previously, he studied with John Hagstrom at DePaul University and Terry Schwartz at Wheaton College. Brian grew up in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, studying trumpet with Steve Heitzer and Ken Benjamin, and attended Csehy Summer School of Music while in high school. He may or may not have met his wife, Christy, there when she was also a Csehy camper. They serve in Rwanda in partnership with B2theWorld.
Graeme Burgan’s 30-year career as a collaborative pianist and music educator has included performances at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Woodend Winter Arts Festival, the Andrea Clearfield Salon, the Melbourne Recital Center, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Sound All Around program. Artist collaborations have included Rachel Ku, Sarita Kwok, Alan Held, Justin Guarini, Hugh Panaro, Christy Altomare, Rollo Dilworth and Morten Lauridsen; and four Australia-wide tours with percussion virtuoso Nick Parnell.
As a pianist, Graeme has worked with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Garden State Philharmonic, New Jersey Chamber Orchestra, Oscar Hammerstein Museum & Theatre Education Center, State Opera of South Australia, Cairn University, University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, Westminster Opera Theater, and has worked as a chorister with the Adelaide Chamber Singers, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Westminster Symphonic Choir, Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.
Graeme is the Executive Director of Csehy Summer School of Music and has also served on the teaching faculty of Cairn University, Moravian University, Tabor Adelaide and Adelaide College of Ministries, and holds degrees from Westminster Choir College, the Australian Music Examinations Board, Cairn University, and the University of Adelaide.
