The Stone Pony Band is based in Dumas, Ar and was established in 2008. There have been several members through the years and the band has played several types of venues. We are a Classic Country/Southern Rock band from south Arkansas. The group welcomes our latest singer/songwriter Nate Turner to the group. Dave Selvey created the band in 2008. The members are as follows:Nate TurnerSinger /Songwriter & Acoustic Guitar
He is originally from Sneads Ferry N. Carolina. He grew up singing in church. He is retired Army and is pursuing his career in music. Nate is a cancer survivor. He currently lives in Benton,AR with his wife Cindy who is promoting his career. You can find his first two singles on streaming platforms. Search “You Are Gone” or Here I Am” by Nate Turner. He loves a crowd and very responsive to them. Glad to have him onboard.
Dave SelveyLead Guitar & Background Vocals
Dave is from Dumas, AR and started his love for music at the age of 5.He created The Stone Ply Band in 2008. He toured in Nashville with “The Kendalls” for a few years in the late 80’s. He later toured the U.S. with various Country artists. After years on the road he moved back to Dumas, where he currently resides and opened Dasco Recording Studio. His love for music has followed him into his golden years.
Larry BarnettKeyboards & Vocals
Larry is from Dermott, AR and has been playing Keyboards and Guitar for 58 years. He played with Peaceful Intentions in high school. Also played for 22 years with “The Group” in Monticello, Ar. Also played with “Hard Times Country”, joined The Stone Pony Band in 2010. He is one of the original members of The Stone Pony Band.
Alvin AnglesBass Guitar
Alvin is from Warren, AR. He has been playing Guitar & Bass for most of his music career. Started his first band in 1973 in Warren, Ar, the Stolen Melon Band. He moved on to Night Shift, Shanna Dorey Band, Backyard Players and Damaged Goods. Super Bass player and has had a great music career.
Brandon NicholsonDrums & Percussion
Brandon currently lives in Monticello, AR. He has performed with Backyard Players and Stone Aces and Hard Times Country Band. Brandon is the newest member of the Stone Pony Band. Brandon is a great drummer and great asset to the band.
Stone Pony appreciated the opportunity to perform for you. We perform Venues such as Festivals, Private Clubs, Private Parties, VFW’s and American Legions. Make us your band for special occasions.
