Gayle will discuss the role quilts played during the war in Gettysburg and beyond, including how they helped raise money for the war effort, how material shortages influenced the quilting process, and how quilts continue to tell stories and preserve history today.
This event will take place at the Shriver House Museum, 307 Baltimore Street, Gettysburg.
Tickets are free for Gettysburg History members and youth (K-12), and $10 for general admission. Reserve your tickets here: https://113910.blackbaudhosting.com/113910/Stitched-Through-History-Civil-War-Quilts-and-Their-Stories-with-Gayle-Underwood
