Steps of Hope, an awareness/fundraiser walk
The River Edge Foundation is proud to announce its inaugural Steps of Hope fundraiser/awareness walk, a community event dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, supporting substance use disorder recovery, honoring lives lost, and celebrating those in recovery.
More than a walk, Steps of Hope is an opportunity for individuals, families, friends, advocates, and community partners to come together in support of those affected by mental health challenges and substance use disorders. The event will honor the memories of those we have lost, stand beside those who continue to face challenges, and celebrate the strength, resilience, and hope of those in recovery.
Designed as a positive, family-oriented event, Steps of Hope aims to encourage open conversations, increase awareness, and help reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health issues.
"At River Edge, we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, supported, and valued," said Mia M. Geiger, Director of Development for the River Edge Foundation. "Steps of Hope brings our community together to honor loved ones, support those who are struggling, celebrate recovery, and remind people that hope and healing are possible."
Attendees will also learn about the services and resources available through River Edge Behavioral Health, including mental health treatment, substance use disorder services, recovery support, crisis services, and other community-based programs.
Every step taken during the walk represents a commitment to hope, compassion, and the belief that no one should face these challenges alone.
