Step-Ball-Change: a soccer dance workshop
About this Event
Combine your passion for sports and the arts at this unique workshop for youth, exploring dance styles inspired by the movement on the field.
Part 1 of this workshop will be led by soccer coach Dana London, who will take you through soccer skills so you can learn to dribble, stepover and chop from the best. Then join Leah Robyn (dancer, theatre director and creator of The Game), who will turn your ball skills into artistic dance performance.
The journey you take on this workshop was developed by professional dancers to expand the boundaries of movement and sports. After the workshop, see this dance style in action at upcoming performance The Game – playing at Mandurah Aquatic and Community Centre (MARC) in October!
Suitable for ages 12-17. No dance or soccer experience necessary.
