About this Event

Are you interested in installing a heat pump to heat and cool your home efficiently with clean electricity? Come learn about the practical questions to ask and resources to use to install a heat pump in your home at this second workshop in the three part home electrification series sponsored by the City of Rochester in partnership with the Destination Medical Center.
This workshop will include:
- What you need to know about heat pump types, sizing, and how they work to make an informed decision for your home’s comfort and energy use
- Questions to ask contractors when getting quotes
- How insulation and air sealing make your heat pump more efficient and effective
- Overview of financial incentives and examples of combining them to bring down project costs
Homeowners and renters are welcome, and light dinner will be provided. In person attendance is encouraged to be able to ask all your questions and participate fully in activities.
Can’t attend in person? You can listen virtually! Register here for the Virtual Option to listen live over Zoom.
Be sure to register for part three of our home electrification series:

Electrify Everything Minnesota is a program that shares how to electrify your home and connects you with incentives, contractors, and resources to accomplish your home energy goals. Electrify Everything workshops provide step by step guidance so households can develop a plan to electrify their homes on a realistic timeline and take full advantage of federal, state and local financial incentives. Whether you want to improve home health and safety, lower your impact on the environment, keep upfront costs down, or have an old appliance you’re planning to replace, you’ll leave the workshop with a plan of action.
Electrify Everything Minnesota is managed by the Center for Energy and Environment and is supported by the City of Rochester, Destination Medical Center, and other local government and foundation partners.
