An evening of chatting bikes, rides, routes, canals, climbs, drops, de-mystifying Spond, road Vs gravel, punctures - and most importantly, coffee stops!

Q] Firstly though, what are Blue rides?

A] We are the 'middle' section of the cycling club : distances [between 15 + 50km] and usually stick to cycle paths, canals, light gravel, quiet roads + small climbs.

Blue rides are most commonly unpaced, or run at a very relaxed, scheduled pace. Riders move at the speed of the group, and no one is left behind.

We are plotting this evening to welcome you to :

Join our superstar Ride Leader Kirsty for a super casual evening to chew over Blue rides and figure out even more ways to create fun, varied and accessible rides to suit different abilities.

What's brilliant about our CC is that there is room to ride across all three colours if you wish - lots of people ride and lead with Blue and then feel like they're ready to help with Pink sometimes as well[see poster below]

The Cycling Club only exists as a result of kind bike riders who give up their time to plan, support, test ride and take other riders out. It's a brilliant sustainable and progressive model and the best part of it, as a ride leader you get to choose where you go and where you stop for coffee! We are on the prowl for some more friendly and reliable folk who would like to come and help increase the Blue offer to the public - we can support you every step of the way and no-one gets thrown in the deep end.

If any of this appeals to you, please come along on the 27th! The kitchen and bar will be open to help fuel the fun :)

Everybody is welcome to attend, whether you have any ride leading experience or not - Station South Cycling Club is mix-gendered but we are particularly looking for more female ride leaders, although fellas - we need you too!
