Albariño v Alvarinho: Is it really the white Burgundy of Iberia?
A Wine Tasting Like No Other – a tasting for wine lovers - no spitting or slurping just enjoy what's in the glass.
Join winemaker and Master of Wine Jo Ahearne MW and specialist wine merchant Ciaran Keaney for a relaxed and sociable evening of wine tasting, conversation and discovery. We firmly believe that wine tastes better when it’s shared.
We'll start the evening with a welcoming glass of bubbles before exploring six wines selected around a different monthly theme. Rather than a formal lecture, this is an interactive tasting where everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, compare tasting notes and join the conversation.
Jo and Ciaran will guide the evening, offering expert insights, stories from the vineyards and wineries and plenty of practical tips but the real enjoyment comes from discovering the wines together. There's no right or wrong answer when it comes to what you taste or enjoy, making the evening equally welcoming for complete beginners and experienced wine enthusiasts.
To round off the tasting, we'll finish with a mystery wine challenge, giving everyone the chance to put their palate to the test and join in the debate.
Throughout the evening, The Angel's chef will work his majic on the BBQ to produce a selection of seafood small plates, thoughtfully paired to complement the wines and encourage a relaxed, shared tasting experience.
