About this Event
Whether this is your first Pride, or you’d like to meet new people before the weekend, this event is a relaxed, welcoming, and friendly space to connect before Pride!
What to expect
We’ll have a relaxed drop-in style space where you can come and go throughout the evening. There’ll be time to chat, make new connections, create something for Pride, and enjoy some refreshments.
- Speed mixing, 7:30pm–8:30pm: A friendly, optional activity to help people meet new queer friends. We’ll provide cue cards with suggested questions and talking points, so you don’t need to worry about small talk. It's like speed dating, without the dating! If you’d like to take part, please arrive by 7:30pm.
- Placard making: Get creative at our placard station, with cardboard, pens, paint, and inspiration available to help you make something to take with you to Pride.
- Board games, card games and puzzles
- Refreshments
Who is this for?
This event is aimed at people who are attending Pride for the first time, or people who may not know anyone else going, but it’s also open to anyone who would like to connect with others beforehand. You’re welcome to come by yourself, with a friend, or with a group.
