The Stanford Summer Symphony Orchestra & Stanford Summer Chorus will perform Felix Mendelssohn's magnificent symphony-cantata "Lobgesang" (Hymn of Praise) on July 31 & August 1 in Bing Concert Hall. Award-winning soprano Esther Tonea, soloist in SSO's 2022 performance of Mahler 2, returns for these performances, joined by soprano Jennie Yukyung Byun and tenor Chance Jonas-O'Toole with Paul Phillips conducting. Music by Ethel Smyth and Shawn Kirchner rounds out the program.
