A NAMI Mahoning Valley Family Support Group“Stand with Pride” is a peer-led support group for family members, caregivers, and loved ones of LGBTQ+ individuals who are navigating mental health challenges.

Modeled after the trusted NAMI Family Support Group, this space offers understanding, connection, and real conversations with others who have similar experiences.

💜What to Expect:

•Free and open to adults (18+)

• Led by trained family members with lived experience

• Confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental

• Structured format so everyone has a chance to share

• Meets regularly on the first Monday of every month!

By sharing your experiences in a safe, supportive setting, you can:

• Build stronger coping skills

• Find connection and community

• Gain insight from others’ experiences

• Be able to ask tough questions with honest answers

• Feel heard, supported, and not alone

This group encourages empathy, honest conversation, and the understanding that mental health challenges are no one’s fault, and that support truly makes a difference.
