The 2nd annual Heartland Book Festival will take place on October 12 at the Central Library in downtown Kansas City with authors, books, activities, and more! Join us for a conversation in Kirk Hall with Stacey Abrams and Mychal Threets!
Stacey Abrams is the New York Times bestselling author of several books for children and adults, a voting rights advocate, and former Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives. Abrams and PBS’ resident librarian and TikTok star Mychal Threets discuss the vital role libraries play in connecting people with information and to the community.
