Step into the 1760s in St. Ignace.
Join us July 24–25 for a weekend that brings history to life through hands-on experiences, storytelling, and tradition. Learn the craft of birch bark basket making. Explore the art of hand drum creation. Spend time with demonstrations that reflect the skills and rhythms of the past.
Live music, traditional foods, and cultural presentations will be part of the experience throughout the weekend, creating a setting that feels both grounded and alive.
Festival opens at 10:00 AM each day.
This event is presented by the Museum of Ojibwa Culture, St. Ignace Visitors Bureau, Michilimackinac Historical Society, and the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
