Panel questions with guest speakers and Stephen Sykes 2030 Hub - Stephen Sykes is recognised for his dedication to promoting sustainability and supporting businesses in their transition to a low-carbon future. He is a highly experienced sustainability professional with a career spanning over three decades, including 16 years in the chemical manufacturing sector, focusing on quality, health, safety, and environmental management, 11 years in environmental regeneration and over 12 years as a self-employed and employed sustainability consultant.
He has a wealth of experience as the chair of the Climate Commission, Director of Sustainability at the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, where he managed the Chamber Low Carbon program and co-founder and Director of 2030hub, the world's first United Nations-recognised local entrepreneurial hub promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Please note that the postcode can take you to the back of the building near St Helens rugby
stadium, access to Glass Futures is at the front of the building via the mini round about at St
Helens Tesco Extra Store, St Helens Linkway.
Travel
St Helens Central and St Helens Junction train stations are both within a 5 – 10-minute taxi
drive from site.
The closest airports are Manchester (MAN) (28 miles) and Liverpool (LPL) (14 Miles).
Manchester airport has a direct train to St Helens Junction train station.

Upon Arrival
• Access to the car park is via the intercom unit at the carpark barrier.
• Once parked up, visit the main reception – the receptionist will inform your GFL Host
of your arrival.
• Do not enter any other areas around site without your GFL host.
Site Rules
• Smoking and vaping are limited to the designated smoking area on the west side of
the carpark.
• No aluminium cans are permitted on site.
• No open toe shoes are permitted on site in the facility.
• PPE must be worn when entering the site areas outside of reception & offices. Legs
and arms must be covered to access certain areas in the facility. Please check with
your GFL host if you will require PPE for your visit.
• Adhere to the site 5MPH speed limit.
• Give way to any vehicles on site (e.g., telehandlers, FLT)
• Report any accident, incident, injury spill or near miss to any GFL personnel. We also
encourage visitors to report any safety observations, near misses and accidents via
the QR code which is available to scan throughout the site.
