About this Event
Take part in this exciting free Coding Drones Workshop. This is a fun, hands-on session where you’ll get to try coding and flying drones in a supportive, relaxed environment.
You’ll start by learning the basics of block-based coding to control and fly a drone. Once you’ve got the hang of it, we’ll put your skills to the test with fun challenges like Noughts and Crosses and Search and Rescue games.
You’ll get to:
- Learn basic block-based coding to control a drone
- Practice flying and controlling the drone safely
- Take part in exciting coding challenges and games
No prior experience is required for any activity, and all equipment will be provided by us. Our friendly tutors will be there to support you every step of the way.
Who can get involved?
This session is open to young adults aged 18–21 from the Liverpool City Region who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET).
When is this session?
This session is on Friday 13th February, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Where will the workshop take place?
YMCA St Helens Youth Hub, St Helens, WA10 2TJ.
How much does it cost?
This project is generously funded by Youth Guarantee, with delivery support from VOLA, and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, therefore it is free to attend.
What equipment should I bring?
Digital Arts Box will bring all of the equipment needed to participate in this session.
