Last Saturday Feb 7th, Squadron 33 Sons of the American Legion met at the Hawley-Dieckhoff American Legion post in Neenah for a special presentation and learning activity. Former SAL commander Jim Hoyman led the presentation that included history, color meaning, ettiquette, tradition, proper disposal and the meaning of the 13 folds of the flag. SAL members received hands on training folding the flag and were each given a personal desktop flag to take home.
A short meeting followed that included potential future activities, a description of SAL officer duties and setting the date for their next meeting that will take place on Saturday, March 7th at 9am at the post.
