SPS Dinner Club returns Saturday, December 12, with featured Chef Braunda Smith, the powerhouse personality and creative force behind Lucy Cooper’s on San Pedro.
Known for bold flavors, over-the-top comfort food and a culinary style that doesn’t take itself too seriously, Braunda has built a loyal following with dishes that are playful, indulgent and unmistakably her own. Her cooking pulls from her Southern roots along with Cajun, Korean, Hawaiian and Texas influences — resulting in the kind of food that makes you want to lean across the table and ask, “Okay, what exactly did she put in this?”
And if Chef Braunda looks familiar, there’s a good reason why.
The self-described chaos-loving chef has competed on Food Network’s Chopped and Guy’s Grocery Games and most recently brought her larger-than-life personality to Season 7 of BBQ Brawl, where she competed as part of Bobby Flay’s team. Food Network has fittingly dubbed her “The Southern Spitfire.”
Now she’s bringing that energy to the SPS Dinner Club for one night only, and you'd better not miss it! Expect a lively, intimate evening in a family-style setting, showcasing Chef Braunda’s signature approach to food — big flavor, Southern soul, creative twists and probably a few surprises along the way.

SPS Dinner Club is a curated San Antonio dinner series created by food writer Kimberly Suta, bringing together acclaimed local chefs and adventurous diners for intimate, one-of-a-kind culinary experiences.
Originally launched in historic St. Paul Square, the dinner club continues to evolve and travel throughout San Antonio, with each event built around a different chef, a different menu and a completely unique experience.

Tickets are non-refundable within one week of the event.
