Chicagoland, are you ready for SACMS's student showcase? We celebrate local teachers of South Asian classical music through performances by their students. Come out to hear the next generation of classical musicians. A special highlight of this year's showcase is a celebration of the 250th anniversary of Carnatic composer Muthuswami Dikshitar, who brought many Hindustani ragas and dhrupad influences into the Carnatic system. In his honor, gurus Minu Pasupathi and Jai Sovani will be demonstrating the connections between the two systems of music.Sunday, March 15, 11a-5p
