It's the time of year again when we think about spring cleaning. We need your help with that in streams across the city! Help preserve Bowie's natural beauty by volunteering at the Stream and Community Cleanup on Saturday, April 11. The event begins at 9 a.m. behind Giant on Route 450 with light snacks and a few words of inspiration from staff and others. By 9:30 a.m., volunteers will head to their specified locations where they will be given gloves and a bag to collect trash from their areas.
To register or for more information, call or email Tiffany Wright at 301-809-3043 or [email protected]. Prince George’s County School student volunteers will receive Student Service Learning hours, and Scouts will receive a Green Bowie patch. The cleanup is held rain or shine.
