With the title track of her forthcoming album "Grief Knows No Borders" being released, Charlotte is setting off on a mini east coast tour. Join us for a beautiful spring afternoon at Roto House to hear an intimate preview of the album ahead of it's release. She will be joined by a local support act.
Charlotte Le Lievre writes country songs that cut deep: honest, raw and grounded in real life. Drawing on the traditions of early country and folk, her music carries the warmth and grit of an old record, with songs that move between heartfelt ballads, dusty road stories and hard-driving country. Her voice is equal parts vulnerable and commanding, finding beauty and tenderness alongside the grief, joy, resistance and stories we carry. There’s a lived-in quality to Charlotte’s music. It’s intimate enough to feel like a late-night conversation, but made to be shared, sung along to and danced to.
Charlotte's debut album, Songs from the Barrier Line (2023), made an immediate impact, debuting at #4 on the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart and #3 on the AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels Association) Album Chart. The album was featured on Bandcamp’s Best Country Music list for March 2023 and earned nominations for Contemporary Folk Album of the Year at the Australian Folk Music Awards and Best Country Work at the Music Victoria Awards.
Renowned for her captivating live performances, Charlotte has shared stages with Jimbo Mathus (USA), The Burning Hell (CAN) and C.W. Stoneking, and has played acclaimed festivals across the country including Out on the Weekend, Woodford Folk Festival, Nannup Music Festival, The Town Folk Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Nundle Rocks, NewFarm NewCountry and Yackandandah Folk Festival. She showcased at BIGSOUND in 2024 and participated in the 2025 Seed Fund Workshop for self-managed artists where she was mentored by Fanny Lumsden.
Charlotte's sophomore album, Grief Knows No Borders, is set for release in February 2027 via Cheatin' Hearts Records. The album's first two singles, Tamworth Lights (2025) and I Yearn To Love Someone (2026), both received high rotation on ABC Country, alongside widespread national and international radio support. The third single, I'll Never Forget The Words That You Shared, secured playlist support from Apple Music and charted at #9 on the AMRAP Country/Blues/Roots Airplay Chart. With the album release on the horizon, 2027 will see Charlotte continue to build momentum with support slots for Mick Thomas (Weddings Parties Anything) and The Burning Hell (CAN), as well as a featured performance on the Toyota Park Stage at Tamworth Country Music Festival as part of Americana in the Park.
