Spring Skate School @ Benson Community Center | Level 3-6 | 10:30-11:30 AM

The Bay's trained skateboard instructors help youth ages 4-18 develop social-emotional and technical skills on and off the board, from beginner to advanced. Skate School is divided into six skill levels, requiring demonstrated technical learning — such as balancing, pushing, turning, riding up/down ramps, and various tricks — along the way.

Skate School at Benson Community Center in Omaha is offered seasonally in six-week* sessions, which encourages students to come back every week to hone their technical skills. Registration includes a free skateboard and helmet rental, but you’re also welcome to bring your own! Helmets and a waiver** are required for all participants.

*In the event of inclement weather, we will extend Skate School by one extra week to account for a makeup session.*

**Our liability waiver MUST be completed by a parent/guardian prior to attending.**

Levels 3-6

This registration is for any student who is intermediate to advanced at skateboarding. Students will learn everything from how to drop-in on a quarterpipe to ollies, 180s, and flip tricks. Graduates of Level 4 will receive their very own The Bay-branded skateboard deck to continue their skateboarding journey, and graduates of Level 6 will receive a full The Bay-branded complete skateboard! If you are unsure which level your child should be registered for, register for the Levels 1 - 2 session (Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings). Regardless, our trained skate instructors will assess each student’s level in your child’s first week!
