Alex Burgos has spent his life and career serving our community, and has already delivered results for Buffalo’s West Side. As a lifelong Buffalo resident and West Side homeowner, Alex was raised in a union household by a Buffalo Public Schools teacher and a U.S. Army veteran and Niagara Street small business owner. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work and carrying that commitment into service for working families.

Throughout his career in nonprofit administration, New York State government, political campaigns, and community advocacy, Alex has focused on one thing: getting real results for our neighborhoods.
In his public service, Alex has:
• Fought to protect healthcare funding and defended access to care for working families.
• Helped deliver over one million dollars in funding for housing, mental health, workforce development, and community programming, throughout his career.
• Advocated for the expansion of funding for nonprofits and community organizations through the State's Human Services Network.
• Works to combat hate crimes and strengthen protections for vulnerable communities, through the State's Hate & Bias Prevention Unit.
• Served as a Delegate to the 2024 Democratic National Convention, and worked on several campaigns, including the special election of Congressman Tim Kennedy, and West District Board of Education Member Talia Rodriguez.
• Assisted in leading public health outreach during COVID-19 and MPOX in underserved neighborhoods.
• Helped develop and implement legislative and regulatory policies at the state level that are now law.
• Organized and continues to organize free community events, participates in neighborhood beautification efforts, and is an active member of our community.
Alex brings a track record of getting things done, not political talk.
Join us for an evening of community and conversation as we continue building a campaign focused on real results, strong neighborhoods, and opportunity for all.
Be part of building a stronger, more equitable City Of Buffalo!
