During this year’s annual Buffalo Public High Schools, Emerson’s Health & Wellness Fair, a basic, non-certified CPR and AED class will be offered providing hands-on training teaching essential life-saving techniques, including recognizing cardiac arrest, performing high-quality chest compressions, giving rescue breaths, and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), until professional help arrives. “This is Not Hands-Only CPR!”
Strickly Business Safety Solutions, LLC will train participants how to perform these lifesaving skills on adults, children, and infants, in addition to choking relief, and emergency Narcan use for Opioid overdose training.
Note: As you will be performing physical activities on the floor, kneeling, bending, etc., you should wear comfortable casual clothing i.e., pants/legging, t-shirts, and flat shoes.
If you have physical limitations, recent surgeries, chronic joint pain, or are pregnant, inform the instructor to discuss using practical alternative techniques.
