Spring Hare Felting Workshop with Marianne Hansen

Marianne Hansen's artistic expression represents a culmination of refined skills developed over a lifetime, deeply rooted in her Scandinavian heritage of handwork passed down through generations. This background, combined with a passion for working with natural materials, has shaped her journey as an artist. Striving to capture the essence of nature and drawing inspiration from the raw beauty of the environment, Hansen's work honours the traditional techniques of her heritage. Her artworks are meticulously crafted using needle felting techniques, wire armatures, wet felting techniques, and a blended palette of wool, silk, and other natural fibres.

The purchase of your ticket includes a kit of supplies to make one hare. This kit contains:

• Wool Core batt
• 19 micron merino wool
• linen fibres
• 2 Glass Beads
• Tutorial
• Felting pad and needle

Participants will also need to bring the following items with them:

- Small scissors

- Craft glue

- Large eye embroidery needle

- Pins
