Spring Dog Parade at North Park

You are invited to our Spring Dog Parade at North Park Phase One to show off your fashionable dog and the chance to win a prize. There will be water stations for the dogs and a cool down station for all! Organizations and community groups will be tabling on the meadow next to the dog parade walkway.

The dog parade will begin at 10 am and there will be organizations and businesses tabling and cheering on the dogs. Check in will begin at 9:15 am.

Donation: There is a suggested donation of $50 to enter your dog into our Spring Dog Parade! Your support allows us to increase access and education at Freshkills Park.

You will be asked to sign a NYC Park activity waiver before participating in the program.

Accessibility: There is a parking lot with handicapped parking spaces. North Park Phase One does have paved paths but there will be tabling on a meadow area. If you have any questions regarding accessibility please reach out to us!

Plan Ahead: Be “tick aware” and wear long pants, close-toed shoes, and insect repellant. Also wear a hat and bring water and a snack.
