From the Ayurvedic perspective - winter increases Kapha, bringing heaviness & slowness. The cold aggravates Vata, leading to dryness, stiffness & irregularity. Without adequate movement, digestive capacity does not translate into vitality & it manifests as lethargy, congestion & a sense of being weighed down.
Spring asks for intelligent effort! Movement to counter Kapha’s inertia, rhythm & breathwork to stabilize Vata & awareness to serve the body.
